A catch-all mailbox is one that gathers all the messages sent to invalid email addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody miswrites it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Just one mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and thus you’ll never miss emails because the other party has an outdated email address or has made a typographical error. The downside of setting up a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving lots of unsolicited bulk emails, but this problem can be resolved using anti-spam filtering software. It’s also vital to bear in mind that a mailbox with an activated catch-all functionality cannot redirect incoming email messages to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting

In case you’ve got a cloud website hosting with us and you wish to activate the catch-all feature for a particular e-mailbox that you’ve got in the web hosting account, it will take literally only one click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to do this. A catch-all button is available on the right-hand side of each email address that you have created under any domain name registered in the account. You can select one address per domain name by clicking on the respective button. This will activate the feature momentarily, so all messages sent to miswritten addresses will be delivered there. Clicking on the button again will turn off the catch-all feature. In case you have activated email forwarding, our system will show a cautionary notice and you won’t be able to enable the catch-all feature till you disable the forwarding or you can simply select some other mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all address can be set up with a few clicks in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server with our company. The semi-dedicated hosting account will be managed through our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll be able to set up mailboxes using any domain hosted there. To enable the catch-all feature for a mailbox, you’ll have to click on the button with the exact same name, which will be on the right side of each email address. Disabling the feature can be done in the exact same way and will not require more than one click either. In case the catch-all functionality has already been activated for a specific domain name, you will get a warning notification. The same goes if the mailbox that you would like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never alter or deactivate anything automatically.
